The coming decade will be pivotal for worldwide press freedom due to the rise of authoritarian rulers, decreasing trust in media outlets, and the uncertain economic outlook of print journalism. Despite this increasingly pessimistic outlook, though, the press still plays an incredibly important role in reporting on and influencing world affairs. Delegates in the Press Corps will assume the roles of correspondents for a variety of international news organizations. They will be responsible for reporting on one committee from each organ. The press is a crucial component in the modern world of international diplomacy and democracy. The Press is responsible for holding the delegates accountable for all the decisions they make on their country's behalf
