INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE

The Indian Premier League (IPL) has emerged as one of the world's most prominent and commercially successful sporting leagues, attracting significant investment, global viewership, and elite cricketing talent. However, its rapid growth has also been accompanied by persistent concerns regarding the integrity of the tournament.

Allegations of corruption, illegal betting networks, match-fixing, insider information leaks, player misconduct, and undue influence by franchise owners have periodically raised questions about the credibility of the league. Such controversies have not only threatened public confidence in the competition but have also prompted investigations by regulatory authorities, sporting bodies, and law enforcement agencies.

As stakeholders debate the future of the IPL, key issues include strengthening anti- corruption mechanisms, regulating franchise operations, ensuring player accountability, combating betting syndicates, and safeguarding the transparency and integrity of league governance. Delegates must evaluate the effectiveness of existing oversight structures while proposing measures that preserve both the reputation and long-term sustainability of

the tournament.

The committee will be tasked with addressing these challenges and determining the reforms necessary to maintain the IPL's status as a credible and globally respected sportinginstitution.
