The Lok Sabha is the lower house of the Parliament of India and represents the largest democratic electorate in the world. Comprising directly elected representatives from across India’s diverse states and union territories, the Lok Sabha is vested with legislative powers, including the initiation of money bills, and plays a central role in overseeing the executive branch. It serves as a vibrant forum for debate, policy formulation, and reflecting the will of the Indian populace.

The issue before the Lok Sabha centers on tackling and managing the Indian Red Corridor—a region marked by ongoing conflict, insurgency, and socio-economic challenges. This topic addresses the persistent threat posed by Naxalite-Maoist insurgency and explores strategies for enhancing governance, security, and development in affected areas. The agenda underscores the importance of holistic interventions that address root causes, such as land disputes, poverty, and lack of access to public services, in order to achieve lasting peace and prosperity.
