On March 6th, our school proudly hosted its Junior MUN (J-MUN) — a special internal conference designed exclusively for our younger students from Grade 5 and below.
J-MUN aimed to introduce junior students to the world of debate, diplomacy, and global issues in a fun and engaging way. It provided a safe and encouraging environment where students could express their ideas and build confidence.
Diverse & Engaging Committees
The conference featured a variety of exciting committees tailored for young delegates:
FIFA – Exploring global sports governance
Fictional Committee – Creative problem-solving in imaginative scenarios
SDG – Understanding the Sustainable Development Goals
UNEP – Discussing environmental challenges
WHO – Focusing on global health issues
UNHRC – Addressing human rights topics
Participants engaged in discussions, shared their perspectives, and collaborated with peers. The event helped them develop early skills in public speaking, teamwork, and critical thinking.
J-MUN was a great success, inspiring young minds and sparking interest in Model United Nations at an early stage. It marked an important step in nurturing the next generation of confident speakers and future leaders.
