UNSC is one of the six principal organs of the United States which takes a role in the maintenance of international peace and security. This security council has 15 members and all these member states are obligated to comply with council decisions under the Charter of the United States.  UNSC takes the lead to determine the existence of a threat to the peace or act of aggression. The security council has the power to establish peacekeeping organisations, enact international sanctions and authorize military action.
